Iowa REALTORS released its year-end housing report.
In 2024, Iowa’s housing market experienced a 1-point-6 percent increase in home sales, with 33,102 single family homes sold compared to 32,588 in 2023.
Pending sales across the year grew just under one percent with 33,592.
The median sales price for single-family homes rose by 6-point-4 percent to 234-thousand dollars, up from 220-thousand dollars in 2023.
Inventory showed substantial growth, with the new listings of single-family homes growing 8-point-3 percent to 42,303 homes listed compared to 39,046 new listings in 2023.
