The Iowa Transportation Commission Tuesday approved over 1-point-6-million dollars in total funding for several federal Recreational Trails Program projects.
The federal Recreational Trails Program was created for the purpose of developing and maintaining recreational trails and trail-related facilities for both motorized and nonmotorized trail users.
The Iowa River’s Edge Trail Bridge Improvements will receive $438,475.
The Iowa River’s Edge Trail runs 34 miles across parts of Marshall and Hardin Counties.
