The South Hardin Community School District has announced the three finalists in its search for the district’s next superintendent. Current superintendent, Dr. Adam Zellmer, is resigning at the end of the current school year.
The finalists are Joe Erickson, Chris Fenster and Michelle Havenstrite.
Erickson currently serves as superintendent of the North Iowa Community School District in Buffalo Center. He has also served as elementary principal in the Eagle Grove School District.
Fenster currently serves as superintendent of Southwest Valley Schools in Corning. Fenster has also served as superintendent of North Linn Community Schools.
Havenstrite most recently served as superintendent and director of special education at the Prairie City Monroe school district. She has more than 30 years of experience in K-12 and postsecondary leadership and instruction.
The Eldora-New Providence and Hubbard-Radcliffe school boards and stakeholder interview teams will conduct final interviews with the finalists on Monday, January 27th with the board planning to make a final decision that day.
