This week the Clarksville City Council formally authorized the fire department to move forward with the design and purchase of a new fire truck.
The newest fire truck the Clarksville department uses at the present time is 20-years-old. Estimated cost of the new fire truck is over 500-thousand dollars.
In other business, the Clarksville City Council discussed having the ice skating rink at Volunteer Park. This winter, the rink has not been installed.
No decisions were made by the Clarksville council on the ice skating rink for this winter.
