NBC Head Coach Ben Lovrien on final home dual environment and performance of team.
“It was a heated environment, a lot of action going on. It was awesome to see the gym filled like this. Our senior girls got to wrestle here in their home gym, that was awesome,” says Lovrien. “I thought our performance was real good. There’s all these things that you can take away, that you can improve on. We’ll keep improving every time out. That’s how we approach things. We’ll go back tomorrow and have practice. We’re going to say, we’re going to work on this.”

Warhawks Head Coach Onni Prestidge on local duals and composure of wrestlers.
“We didn’t see North Butler until our conference tournament. We’ve never seen Janesville. We saw Saint Ansgar a couple times. Being able to see local competition that some will see at regional qualifiers and some we won’t, was nice,” says Prestidge. “The poise and composure our girls showed tonight really impressed me, not allowing themselves to get rattled in bad positions. Tonight was a really nice last hurrah for our girls before we go into regionals. Now moving forward we are going to be sharpening the iron, doing exactly what we have to do the next eight days to get our girls ready for the state qualifier.”
North Butler-Clarksville (8-5) will conclude their regular season at Upper Iowa Invite on Saturday and West Fork (10-9) will prepare for regionals at Osage on Friday, January 31.
