Local high school baseball teams have scheduled neutral site games at big-name venues for the upcoming season.
Hampton-Dumont-CAL will play West Marshall at the Field of Dreams movie site near Dyersville. It’s scheduled for Tuesday, June 3 at 7:30 p.m.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Baseball announced Friday they’ll play Bishop Garrigan at Target Field in Minneapolis. It’ll be Thursday, June 12 at 4:00 p.m., after the conclusion of the Minnesota Twins vs. Texas Rangers.

These games are part of a growing trend of high school teams playing games at notable venues. The Field of Dreams has hosted high school games for the last few seasons. Other high school games have been scheduled at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Principal Park in Des Moines, and others.
