Saturday at 10:41pm the Butler County Sheriff’s Department received a call that juveniles had allegedly thrown fireworks which caught part of Miracle Park in Parkersburg on fire, along with one of the “toys” that had caught on fire as well. No injuries reported.
The park is located in the 100 block of Colfax Street on the west side of town.
Deputies were able to identify the people involved with the help of witnesses and at least one parent who identified their child as taking part.
Butler County Sheriff’s Deputies made contact with Parkersburg city officials and will determine what the cost of the damages are and if they would like to proceed with any charges.
