The Alden City Council Monday night held a special meeting and approved the department budgets for fiscal year 2026.
As part of the budget work, the Alden council voted to give the city’s 4 full-time employees an 8 percent pay raise.
The city’s 3 part-time employees will see an increase in pay of 5 percent.
In other business, the Alden City Council voted to change the regular meeting time to 5pm. An ordinance amendment will have to be considered before the change in time would become official.
The meeting minutes can be found below, but one correction, the Parks Department budget is $70,051.
