The #9 (2A) Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys wrestling team concluded their regular season dual schedule with a Wright County rivalry win 71-11 over Eagle Grove on Tuesday.
The Cowboys won every contested and non-contested match except for two. The Cowboys had six wins by Fall including Paxton Redenius at 113, Ryan Hartwig at 126, Adrian Phetxoumphone at 138, Ryland Morgan at 175, Charlie Campbell at 190 and JT Kelso at 285. The Cowboys also had a win by technical fall by Cole Wibholm at 106. All other team points scored by the Cowboys were wins by open weight forfeit.
Eagle Grove scored on a win by technical fall by Dylan Terwillinger at 120 and win by Fall by Hayden Schafer at 157.
C-G-D (21-6) will return to mat for a regional dual at #8 (2A) Humboldt on Tuesday, February 4 to battle for state dual berth.
