Hardin Supervisors receive a request to improve emergency communications

Today the Hardin County Board of Supervisors received a request from the county 911 service board and members of the first responder community requesting 331-thousand dollars for repairs and upgrading of the county’s emergency communication system.

The Hardin supervisors instructed Hardin County Emergency Management Coordinator Thomas Craighton to engage with radio communications to get the process started which will include a 12-week FCC licensure along with a 3-4 month period of time to procure the equipment.

The Hardin County Board of Supervisors will determine the funding mechanism in the next couple of weeks for the work.
