The Iowa Falls-Alden boys wrestling team will compete at home for the final time this season when it hosts a quad with Nevada, Ogden and Roland-Story Thursday. It’ll air on 99 The Wave.

The Cadets (10-4) will be back in action for the first time since Saturday’s North Central Conference Tournament, where Kolbe Hansen at 113 won the program’s first conference title since 2021. In the team standings, the Cadets placed sixth. Head Coach Scott Patton says with regional dual qualification no longer being a possibility, the focus is on individuals being their best as the regular season winds down.

“I don’t think we have anything really team-wise that we need to focus on, it’s more individual things,” Patton says. “We’ll go back and watch film, then work with each of those guys individually on what they need to improve on going forward as we get close to postseason. We’ve got a couple more non-conference dates coming up that we’ll get a chance to polish and shine a little bit before we get to districts.”

Nevada (3-8) is coming off a third place finish at Friday’s Heart of Iowa Conference Tournament, where Austin Boege won the title at 175.

Ogden (9-8) is coming off a second place performance at a home tournament Saturday, where Ryder Eklund won the 126-pound title.

Roland-Story (6-3) was the runner-up at Friday’s Heart of Iowa Conference Tournament. They had three conference champions, including Caiden Latch at 126, Chance Georgius at 190 and Roman Stotts at 215.

The first duals will begin at 6:00 p.m. with coverage beginning at 5:50.
