The number of counties in Iowa to have bans on open burning continues to increase.
As of today, the number of counties is up to at least 10, all in North Central and Northeast Iowa.
This includes Franklin, Hardin, and Grundy Counties.
Violation of an open burn ban in Iowa is considered to be a simple misdemeanor.
