The Grundy County Board of Supervisors this week voted 4-1 to reduce the county compensation board recommendations by 20 percent for the sheriff and for the county recorder, treasurer, and auditor, by 64 percent for each supervisor, and by 77 percent for the county attorney.
The highest paid elected position in Grundy County will be that of the county sheriff at $131,578, followed by the county attorney at $93,531.
Each of the 5 supervisors will be paid $33,383.
The salaries will be for fiscal year 2026.
