The Parkersburg City Council met Monday, February 3.

Near the beginning of the meeting, American Legion Commander Neil Schrage, on behalf of the Post 285 American Legion Family, provided a check for $4,500 to Parkersburg Ambulance Chief Jess Harken and the crew members in attendance. This donation was in recognition of the help provided and the money received at the January Legion breakfast.
They approved to rezone a portion of property near Green Belt Bank & Trust from “R-1” Residential District to “B-1” Commercial District.

They discussed the procedures and methods for filling a city council vacancy either by appointment or special election, and decided to fill the vacancy by appointment at the next meeting on Monday, March 3.
