Officials with Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls say there has been a purchase of a LUCAS Device for emergency services through a donation from the hospital foundation board.
The LUCAS Device is a mechanical chest compression system designed for consistent and effective CPR. The hospital will have a device onsite that will improve the quality of CPR provided in an emergency situation, increase rescuer safety by reducing physical fatigue, and increase the chances of better patient outcomes.
The Hansen Family Hospital Foundation is governed by a board of directors made up of members of the community, local businesses, and representatives from the medical staff, administration, hospital board of directors, and employees of the hospital.
