Warhawks Head Coach Rodney Huber on the Broncos guard play and staying focused.
“I think playing at home is really a big deal for us, so that’s nice that we’ve got that home court advantage. They got a couple of really good guards. Adasyn Lamb, I’m sure will be an all-district player and possibly an all-stater. They play on the tough side of the conference. She can really shoot it.,” says Huber. “Either way, it’s gonna be a challenge for us, I think. It’s not just an easy gimme game. We’re gonna have to play well, and in district play, you can get nipped by anybody, so it’s important to stay focused and never overlook anybody. That’s exactly the mindset we’ll have.”
Belmond-Klemme (12-10) won 52-34 over Central Springs in the first round of region play on Saturday to advance. Adasyn Lamb and Quinn Gabrielson provide a dynamic scoring duo for the Broncos with 16.7 points and 14.5 points per game respectively.
Broncos Head Coach James Severson on handling the Warhawks pressure.
“They are a high pressure team and they’re gonna put a lot of pressure on you on the outside. I think that’s gonna be something that we can handle. We have a lot of length on our team, which is gonna be huge on the inside for second chance points,” says Severson. “I think transition is gonna be huge for us as well. It’ll just be identifying shooters and making sure that we’re closing out with our hands up and then down and ready to move with them.”
Action begins at 7:00 p.m. in Sheffield.
