Last week the Iowa Falls and Alden School Boards held a joint meeting and approved the 2025-26 school year calendar.
The calendar includes a three day spring break.
If the legislature passes a bill that allows the districts to start before August 23rd, the districts will start on a Wednesday with the goal of getting all students out before the Memorial Day weekend.
In other business, the Iowa Falls and Alden School Boards approved shared contracts for several positions, including superintendent, transportation director, vocal music, and for a librarian.
