March 18th has been set as the date for a public hearing on a proposed development agreement for the new downtown hotel that is planned for Mason City. The date was set this week by the city council.
The hotel is part of the River City Renaissance Project.
The agreement would be with ES 2024 Mason City Hotel Associates, L-L-C, which is part of the Kinseth Hospitality Companies.
The four-story, 80-room hotel will have an indoor pool and will connect to Music Man Square via a skywalk. The developer pledges to invest at least 15-million dollars in the project and to have it completed by the end of 2026.
