
Today the Butler County Board of Supervisors agreed to send a letter of support on behalf of the Aplington Fire Department for an effort to build a new fire station.
470-thousand dollars has already been raised for the new facility, which has an estimated project cost of 1-point-7 million dollars.
In other business, the Butler supervisors approved the proposed fiscal year 2026 budget, which will allow for the mailing of the budget statements to residents.
The supervisors also set March 25th at 8am as the date and time to hold a public hearing on the proposed property tax levy for next fiscal year.
