As part of expanded Christian music on 99 The Wave, RadioOnTheGo News will be airing an interview with Timothy Haygood, a member of The Haygoods, based in Branson, Missouri on Sunday morning.

Timothy is one of six siblings that performs in the group at the Clay Cooper Theater in Branson and tells RadioOnTheGo News how the group got started over 30 years ago.

“Our family moved here from Texas back in 1993. At the time, we were just very young kids. We’re all actually still pretty young. You know, we started off as just this little fiddle band playing fiddle music at Silver Dollar City. And then we started adding production elements. We started learning to play other instruments and we were there at Silver Dollar City for about 10 years playing five or six 30-minute shows a day, five days a week. So it was quite the run, but it really taught us a lot about show business. It taught us a lot about entertainment. And along the way, we took lessons from some of the most amazing entertainers in Branson. We left Silver Dollar City back in 2001, moved our show to the Strip in 2002, and we’ve played in three or four theaters and we call ourselves Branson’s most popular show. Last year, we played about 135 shows and we sold out almost all of them. And it’s an incredible experience.”

The Haygoods recently released, “Ok, Alright” which will air Sunday morning after our interview with Timothy and will be in our new rotation of Christian music on Sundays.

Our interview with Timothy Haygood airs Sunday at 11:00 a.m. on 99 The Wave.
