The Clarion City Council recently passed a resolution in support of a future recreational facility in the city.
Clarion Recreation and Wellness, Incorporated, or Clarion Rec, intends on raising funds to build the new facility.
The resolution states that after all terms and conditions of a future agreement between Clarion Rec and the city are addressed to the city’s satisfaction, the city agrees to provide city-owned real estate as a location for said facility, in the form of an economic development grant.
The city would accept ownership of the facility, insure the property, and lease the facility to a third-party to manage and operate it.
The City of Clarion would also create a fund that will be for significant future building repairs, with a cap at 100-thousand dollars.
