Monday night the Sheffield City Council discussed the current ordinance on the water service system.
The Environmental Protection Agency had the city do an inventory on lead and copper service lines.
With this survey, there are 207 unknown service lines that potentially could fall on the city to be fixed. If this happens, over 500-thousand dollars could potentially be needed to update these services.
More discussion will be held on the water service system ordinance next month in Sheffield.
