The Aplington-Parkersburg School District has announced the hiring of Jeff Pikna as the new varsity head football coach.

Pikna previously served as the head coach at BCLUW for four seasons from 2021 to 2024. He has ties to the district, having previously attended as a student in the 2010s.
Pikna’s hiring ends a search that lasted since the end of the 2023 season upon the resignation of Alex Pollock. Aaron Thomas served as the interim head coach in 2024.
AP is coming off a 2-7 season which included a first round playoff appearance.
