Wednesday night the Aplington City Council set March 24th at 6pm as the date and time to hold a public hearing on the city’s proposed next fiscal year property tax levy.

The Aplington council set April 16th as the date for a public hearing to formally adopt the fiscal year 2026 budget.

Aplington Police Chief Matt Lind also informed the city council that damage to the Christmas decor at the park last month would require a replacement.

Lind says he will have the parent of the guilty party sign a contract stating they will agree to pay for the replacement cost.
