Last week the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows School Board received information from the high school principal who decided not to hold an awards night this spring.
Paul Hansch says he arrived at this decision for different reasons, including poor attendance at all levels. Awards will be handed out by the individual groups at their meetings, or at a small ceremony held for seniors during pregraduation practice in a more informal atmosphere.
In other business, the CGD board approved a budget guarantee resolution.
