
The next storm to impact the local area will start out with a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms tonight into Wednesday, the highest local risk will come from large hail.
Then during the day on Wednesday heavy snow is expected to develop from northwest to southeast across the area, with rates as high as 1-2 inches per hour, as thundersnow is possible. The snow will be a heavy and wet type of snow.
In addition, during the day Wednesday strong winds will increase, and may produce tree and power line damage in and outside of snowfall areas.
Uncertainty remains in how far eastward the heaviest snow will fall, but travel is expected to be treacherous to impossible Wednesday.
