Thunderstorms, high winds and blizzard conditions may occur Wednesday

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening for Franklin, Butler, and Hardin Counties.

A Blizzard Warning is in effect from 5am-10pm Wednesday for Hancock, Cerro Gordo, and Wright Counties.

And the entire broadcast area is under a High Wind Warning during the day on Wednesday.

For the Winter Storm Watch, blizzard conditions are possible, with total snow accumulations of 1-3 inches, along with strong winds.

For the Blizzard Warning, blizzard conditions are expected.  Total snow accumulations between 2-10 inches are in the forecast, along with strong winds.

And for the High Wind Warning, north winds are forecast to be 25-35 miles per hour with gusts up to 65 miles per hour.
