This week the Belmond City Council met with Chip Schultz from Northland Securities who presented various financing options for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Project and highlighted the impact each option would have on not only the city debt but also on the citizens and trying to minimize the impact to them.
Schultz mentioned that depending on which financing option the city council chooses, there may be additional steps needed.
The Belmond City Council did approve to hold a public hearing on April 7th concerning the proposition to authorize a loan and disbursement agreement and the issuance of notes.
