Officials with Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls say that through a grant provided by the Ackley Community Foundation, a purchase of an EKG machine was made that will be used at the Ackley Medical Center.
An EKG machine allows providers to detect irregularities, like arrhythmias, or signs of heart disease and cardiac distress, that might not be visible through routine physical exams alone.
The Ackley Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa.
