Several local track & field teams will compete at Tuesday’s indoor high school invitational meet at Wartburg College. It’ll be the final indoor meet for many teams. Locally, the meet will include Aplington-Parkersburg, Belmond-Klemme, Clarksville, Dike-New Hartford, South Hardin and West Fork.
“We’re hoping that we’re farther along in that meet than we were the first time through,” AP coach Alex Pollock says. “Then we’ve got two weeks before our first outdoor meet. Basically just trying to show improvement and not get overworked too early in the season, but really set us up for once the outdoor meets start, we’re able to keep working our times down. God willing with the weather situation, hopefully we can keep showing improvement out there.”
The meet will include several schools that are mostly in Classes 1A and 2A. Action will start at 2:00 p.m.
