The Alden School Board this week discussed the district’s Nutrition Fund.
The Alden board looked at the current balance and the projection for it moving forward.
The board was informed that there is a significant negative balance projected for the end of the year. This is due to a combination of increased food costs, salaries, and less financial support that was available during the pandemic.
The Alden School Board has a plan to help for this fiscal year, but more discussions will be held about this program moving forward.
