Aplington-Parkersburg alum Jayden Mackie has announced he’s entering the transfer portal.
Thank you to Upper Iowa for an amazing couple years, I have learned a lot being here. With that being said, I have decided to enter the transfer portal.

Mackie, a 2022 AP graduate, has spent the first part of his college career in the Upper Iowa men’s basketball program. After redshirting his first season, he didn’t appear in 2023-2024 and appeared in three games in 2024-2025. He totaled just four minutes of action.
His decision happened immediately after it was announced that Upper Iowa Head Coach Brooks McKowen was leaving to become the new head coach at Missouri Western.
Mackie was one of the more decorated players in Aplington-Parkersburg history. He’s tied with Darian DeVries for the single-game scoring record of 44 points. He also earned all-state recognition.
Mackie has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
