Officials with Franklin General Hospital in Hampton say that Registered Nurse Kylie Bluhm was selected as one of the 2025 Great Iowa Nurses.
Great Iowa Nurses is a non-profit program that recognizes nurses in Iowa and spotlights qualities that demonstrate efforts beyond those expected of a nurse within their normal duties. They also take on leadership and mentoring responsibilities, serving as role models for everyone they interact with, especially those just entering the profession.
Bluhm has worked at FGH for over 10-years, and has worked as a bedside nurse, emergency department nurse, trauma coordinator, and currently as the nurse lead within the medical/surgical department.
The program, formerly known as 100 Great Iowa Nurses, each year honors Iowa nurses for their contributions to the nursing profession.
A virtual ceremony will take place later this year to recognize the 2024 honorees.
