Thursday night the Dumont City Council held a special meeting and conducted a public hearing on the city’s proposed property tax levy for next fiscal year. No oral or written comments were made by the public.
The Dumont council then set April 17th at 7:15pm as the date and time to hold a public hearing on the fiscal year 2026 budget.
In a related note, new water, sewer, and garbage rates will begin in Dumont with the June 30th billing cycle, payable in the new fiscal year which begins July 1st.
