Last week the Ackley City Council held a special meeting and received a termination letter from Eldora concerning the agreement involving the Eldora and Ackley EMS merger.
The Eldora EMS Director resigned, and the Ackley council discussed a few options for EMS coverage, including to reach out to Iowa Falls EMS, or allowing dispatch to page EMS closest to the vicinity of the call.
Discussions on the future of EMS in Ackley will continue.
In other business, the Ackley City Council set the public hearing concerning the next fiscal year budget for April 16th beginning at 6pm.
