A 66-year-old Parkersburg man facing several drug related charges waived his right to a speedy trial.
Craig Thorne had been scheduled to go on trial today after he was charged last month with a controlled substance violation, a class “B” felony, a different controlled substance violation, a class “D” felony, along with two counts of failing to affix a drug tax stamp, and for dominion/control of a firearm/offensive weapon as a felon.
His jury trial is now set to begin April 29th at 9am in Butler County District Court.
If convicted on all the charges, Thorne could be sentenced for up to 45 years in prison.
