If you travel on Highway 122 in Mason City, you need to be aware of an upcoming construction project that may slow down your trip.
Beginning Monday, April 14th, weather permitting, a multi-year, multi-stage project on Highway 122 will begin. Stage one will include two separate construction zones at the Pierce Avenue and Monroe Avenue intersections.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on 122 through those intersections.
Construction work at the intersections for stage one of the project is anticipated to take 2-3 weeks. There will always be access to the hospital.
