The Wright County Board of Supervisors Monday approved the awarding of a contract for a large resurfacing project that will begin west of Clarion.

“This project is for our R33 and C54 paving the 15 miles starting at Highway 3 going down Hancock Avenue or R33 around C54 all the way to Highway 69. So what we’re planning on doing is three inches of mill to profile it because we can’t go up any higher with the paving because we have narrow shoulders and then put back three inches of asphalt.”
The contract was awarded to Heartland Asphalt of Mason City for $2,874,239.
