
The South Hardin girls and boys track and field teams, girls and boys golf teams and girls tennis team will all be in action on Thursday.
The track and field teams are scheduled to take part in Ballard Coed Invite. The meet begins at 4:30 p.m. in Huxley.
For the South Hardin girls this will be their second meet of the week after finishing in a three way tie for first at BCLUW Early Bird on Monday. The Tigers were paced by six top three placings at the meet, Ava Salvo finished in first in the 400m hurdles and third in the 100m hurdles, Mya Wilaby was second in the 3000m, Lorina Dykman was third in 100m and Taya Hollingsworth placed third in the shot put and discus.
The South Hardin boys were scheduled to open their outdoor season on Tuesday at Nevada but the meet was cancelled due to weather. The meet at Ballard will be the first outdoor meet for the Tigers. Last time out the Tigers placed fourth at Warburg Invite on March 25 and had four top five finishers, Chizikyah Richmond was first in the 400m, Traven Wheeler was second in the high jump, Peyton Welch was fifth in the long jump and the 4x800m relay team placed fifth.
The girls golf team is hosting AGWSR for a meet. The boys golf team is hosting Hudson for a meet. This will be the season opener for both teams and will be held at Hubbard Golf and Recreation Center. Tee off is at 4:15 p.m.
The girls tennis team is hosting their season opener against Webster City, after Tuesday’s match against Union was postponed to April 17. The match will be at the Tennis Courts by the Swimming Pool beginning at 3:00 p.m.
