Friday, Matt Carstens, who had been the CEO of Landus Cooperative, stepped down after a mutual decision was made between him and the board of directors.
Effective immediately, board chairman Matt Chambers stepped into the acting CEO role, with an interim CEO expected to be announced soon.
Employees and farmer-owners were notified of the news via letters sent on Friday afternoon.
Landus Cooperative has several locations in the broadcast area, including Aredale, Bradford, Buckeye, Dike, Greene, Latimer, New Hartford, Packard and Wellsburg.
