The Aplington-Parkersburg and AP/DNH soccer teams were both defeated by Hudson Monday. The girls fell 2-0 at home and the boys fell 2-1 on the road.
In the girls game, the Falcons put up a valiant effort, but were unable to find the back of the net. The #9 (1A) Pirates scored once each in the first and second halves to win their ninth straight in the series. AP (2-1) will return to action Thursday at Columbus Catholic.
In the boys game, Hudson scored once in each half for the win. The United were only able to get on the board in the second half. AP/DNH (2-1) will return to action Thursday at New Hampton.
After competing in some indoor meets, the track & field teams will have their outdoor season opener at the Spartan Coed Early Bird at Grundy Center. It’ll start at 4:15 p.m.
