Officials with Alliant Energy tell RadioOnTheGo News that the company plans on conducting an eagle nest survey via a helicopter Thursday.
Alliant says a helicopter will be flying in north/south patterns every half mile for a few hours while the survey is being conducted northwest of Hampton.
The area that will be part of the survey will include the Wild Rose Wind Farm project boundaries and an additional 2-mile buffer area.
The data collected during this survey will best inform environmental elements that the company says are an important part of the planning and development of the Wild Rose Wind Farm.
