Iowa Falls-Alden Spring Sports Update – 4-9-25

The Iowa Falls-Alden boys track & field team placed fourth with 96.5 points at Tuesday’s Umstead Relays at Eagle Grove. They were 2.5 points shy of a third place finish, which would’ve been the program’s best finish at the meet. Top three finishers:

Brody McNeal – 2nd in high jump
Sprint medley – 2nd
4×800 – 2nd
4×200 – 2nd
4×100 – 2nd
Sam Kirchhoff – 3rd in 3200
Carter Debates – 3rd in discus
Jack Duit – 3rd in 400
Levi Langfitt – 3rd in 200
Prentice Howard – 3rd in 400 hurdles
4×400 – 3rd

They’ll return to action Thursday at Clarion-Goldfield-Dows.

The girls track & field team placed fifth at the Clear Lake Girls Invitational. Top three finishers:

Isabelle Janssen – 1st in 100 hurdles
Shuttle hurdle relay – 1st
Alivia Tupper – 2nd in shot put
Danika Rieks – 3rd in 3000

Their next meet will be Thursday at Hampton-Dumont-CAL.

The boys tennis team won 8-1 at home against Hampton-Dumont-CAL. Highlights included sweeps by Carson Allen at #6 singles and Keaton Mulford/Carter Zollar at #3 doubles. Their next meet will be Thursday at home against Saydel.

The girls tennis team won 7-2 at Hampton-Dumont-CAL. Wins by sweep included Jordyn Carpenter at #1 singles and Lindsey Russell at #6 singles. Their next action will be Thursday at Saydel.
