The latest U-S Drought Monitor Report shows that 21-point-38 percent of Iowa was drought free through Tuesday.
The coverage area for the abnormally dry category increased to 49-point-35 percent, while the coverage area for the moderate drought category decreased to 29-point-28 percent.
In the broadcast area, all of Wright, and most of Cerro Gordo, Franklin, and Hardin Counties are abnormally dry, while the remainder of the local area is in a moderate drought.
