The city council in Eldora this week held a public hearing on the city’s proposed property tax levy for the next fiscal year.
Several individuals asked questions and raised concerns about the budgeting process. For example, the fiscal year 2026 budget calls for a weekly 5 hour reduction of when the public library will be open.
The Eldora City Council will hold a special meeting on April 23rd and will conduct a public hearing on the overall proposed next fiscal year budget beginning at 6pm.
