Tiger Girls Track and Field Coach Zach Allison on the team dynamic and competing in NICL.
“It’s a big family. We don’t have a lot of girls on the team, 21 or 22, but they all come together, they work hard together, they support each other. You definitely could see that the other night,” says Allison. “Our times are better this year than they were last year, so are all the other teams. There’s a lot of fast girls in our state, especially our conference. It’s tough, but it’s good for us. We want that competition, it’s going to make us better. There’s no easy meets ever. Our conference is loaded.”
Five of the eight teams who competed at the invite were NICL conference members.
For their next meet both teams are scheduled to compete at Baxter Invite on Monday.
