Next fiscal year budget approved by the Franklin County Supervisors

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors today approved the county’s next fiscal year budget which begins July 1st.

As part of the budget process, the Franklin supervisors approved the compensation for the county’s elected officials.

The positions of county attorney, recorder, and sheriff will each receive pay raises of 4-point-5 percent.

The position of the county treasurer will receive a pay increase of 5 percent, and the county auditor position will receive a 5-point-5 percent pay raise.

The supervisors decided to keep their salaries the same.

The highest paid position in Franklin County government will be that of the county attorney, at $128,033.
