
The latest U-S Drought Monitor Report shows that through Tuesday, the coverage area of no drought conditions in Iowa dropped by over 7 percent to 14-point-11 percent.
At the same time, the coverage area for abnormally dry conditions increased to over 56 percent, and there was also a slight increase in the coverage area for the moderate drought category.
The estimated population of those in drought areas of the state stands at over 700-thousand.
