Last week the Aplington City Council approved the city’s next fiscal year budget.
The Aplington council approved a bid from Heartland Asphalt for street repairs for $90,984, received information that the fundraising effort for the swimming pool was up to 625-thousand dollars, and discussed amending an ordinance concerning collection fees.
The ordinance amendment will be introduced at the May council meeting.
