The Iowa Falls-Alden soccer teams will be in action Thursday at Wright County, a doubleheader that’ll air on 104.9 KLMJ.
The Cadet girls (5-1) will go for their third straight win, and have shut out their last two opponents by a combined 10 goals. Adessa Gillespie enters as the North Central Conference’s goal-scoring leader with 10. The Broncos (0-4-3) have been shut out in two straight games, having last scored in a 2-2 tie against Webster City on Monday, April 14.
The Cadet boys (0-5-1) will go for their first win. They gave up five goals in a shutout loss to Garner Hayfield Ventura Monday, and have scored no more than twice in any game so far. Wright County (1-5-2) has lost three straight, including 3-0 to Clear Lake Monday. The doubleheader will start at 5:30, with pregame coverage at 5:20.
Coming off Tuesday’s 164-210 win over Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, the boys golf team will join Columbus Catholic at a triangular at Dike-New Hartford. It’ll start at 4:15 at Fox Ridge Golf Course.
